For its new headquarters, AP-HP wanted to create an optimal acoustic environment in its meeting rooms. ChartierDalix, the architectural and landscape design firm in charge of the project, was looking for a French solution that would deliver performance, strength and simplicity, and meet the site’s standards.

The challenge: adapting to the dimensions and technical elements such as a large retractable door, lighting fixtures, etc.

Solutions

Murano panels glued directly to the surface and Porto ceiling panels rose to the challenge.

Large retractable amphitheatre doors, light fittings, video projectors and other technical elements in meeting rooms – nothing stands in the way of Murano panels and Porto ceiling panels. A simple cut-out, the right fastener and everything fits in the blink of an eye.

In addition to their performance against noise pollution, their resistance ensures their longevity in the face of intensive use. And like all our solutions, they’re made in France, in our workshop in the Lyon region.

Murano is simple, but the choice of a strong midnight-blue color lends an aesthetic identity to the spaces treated and dresses surfaces with style. As for Porto, its use in slats gives rhythm to the ceiling concerned, and the light shade adds height.

Results

Murano’s simplicity and effectiveness won over the site designers. With its large 12mm rPET fiber cut-to-size sheets that can be glued directly to walls and ceilings, Murano was easily scaled to the size of the meeting rooms to be soundproofed, on both walls and ceilings.

After a rapid and durable installation, the meeting rooms and amphitheatre are ready for work sessions and presentations in the service of public health, in a setting that is both beautiful and conducive to exchanges.
