Design a bespoke acoustic system for the vast and magnificent workshop of the iconic luxury trunks.
Issues
The DE-SO architectural firm called on acousticians Agna and Arteck to find a customized solution within a short timeframe.
The challenge: to deal with the noise nuisance of the dreaded hammer blows in a very large space – the trunks are entirely handmade -, while respecting the architectural concept and luxury codes.
In the factory where Louis Vuitton luxury trunks are manufactured, noise levels were particularly high due to the industrial machinery used in the production process.
The main challenge was to reduce these noise levels while preserving the functionality and aesthetics of the site. The challenge was to design acoustic solutions that would not disrupt the factory’s architecture, while guaranteeing a comfortable and safe working environment for the craftsmen, without compromising production efficiency.
