Milano The modular acoustic concept

Milano is a modular acoustic system made from rPET fiber, designed for the flexible structuring of interior spaces.

Developed for contemporary architectural projects, it enables the creation of partitions, semi‑enclosed pods, or acoustic arches while significantly improving sound comfort.

Thanks to its free‑assembly principle, Milano supports evolving uses in shared environments — open spaces, meeting rooms, reception areas, or cafeterias — without relying on fixed or restrictive installations.

Design & Modularity: an evolving interior architecture

Conceived as a complete constructive system, Milano stands out through:

  • modular, self‑supporting panels that can be combined endlessly
  • the ability to create varied volumes: straight partitions, acoustic pods, passageways, or arches
  • a combination of rPET and wood, providing stability, clarity, and perceived quality
  • an optional plexiglass infill to preserve visual transparency

This modular approach allows the creation of defined spaces without rigid partitioning, while maintaining fluidity and adaptability.

Acoustic Performance: effective separation and sound comfort

Made from compact 12 mm rPET acoustic fiber, Milano offers high acoustic absorption, with coefficients reaching up to 0.95 alpha‑sabine. The thickness created between the panels allows:

  • effective limitation of speech noise propagation
  • improved privacy in shared environments
  • the creation of quieter zones without heavy partitioning
  • adjustable acoustic correction depending on the configuration

Milano is therefore a relevant solution for projects requiring high‑performance yet reversible acoustic separation.

At Arteck, we place the environment at the heart of our approach by offering acoustic solutions that comply with the most demanding ecological standards. Our products and materials are carefully selected to ensure minimal environmental impact and optimum quality.

  • LEED & BREEAM certification: Our products contribute to achieving LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) certification, two international benchmarks for sustainable buildings.
  • IAC Gold (Indoor Air Comfort): Our acoustic solutions comply with IAC Gold certification, guaranteeing very low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and excellent indoor air quality.
  • OEKO-TEX® : All our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, free from harmful substances, ensuring total safety for users and compliance with environmental standards.
  • FSC & PEFC-certified wood: Our wood elements come from sustainably managed forests and are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified. These labels guarantee responsible management of forest resources.
  • EPD sheets: Our entire range has EPD sheets, available on INIES, measuring the carbon impact of our products
  • Recycled and recyclable materials: Our acoustic solutions are made from compact rPET fibres (derived from the recycling of plastic bottles), enabling a significant reduction in carbon footprint.

Yes, our acoustic solutions comply with the requirements of establishments receiving the public (ERP), including crèches, schools, hospitals and other local authority facilities. We use materials that are non-toxic, safe and easy to maintain.

Our lead times vary depending on the type of product and the level of personalisation. On average, manufacturing and delivery take between four and six weeks after validation of the project. For urgent requests, please contact us to discuss ways of speeding things up.

Our team is with you every step of the way:

  1. Analysis of your needs (dimensions, aesthetics, technical constraints)
  2. Proposal of suitable designs and materials
  3. Validation and possible prototyping
