Challenge

As part of the renovation of L’Atlantic restaurant, the project had to address several major constraints:

  • a very short renovation window of just two months
  • a complete rethinking of how the spaces are used (a bistronomic restaurant on the ground floor, guest rooms upstairs)
  • the need to ensure high acoustic comfort without compromising the architectural vision

In the restaurant industry, the challenge is twofold:
reducing noise and reverberation while preserving — or even enhancing — the decorative identity of the space.
Adding acoustic treatment after completion would have generated additional costs and required another temporary closure.

Solutions

Arteck was involved from the design phase onward, working closely with the Roche agency to integrate acoustics into the architectural project.

We designed and installed 150 m² of custom San Diego acoustic panels, featuring:
– precise plans developed by our designer
– support from our customer service team during installation to address the site’s technical constraints
– careful attention to materials and how they interact within the space

Before installation, each panel was prepared and numbered in our workshop, ensuring smooth coordination with the installer and a perfect adaptation to the site’s specific constraints.

Results

Thanks to this forward planning, installation was completed in just 3 days instead of the 10 initially scheduled, with no last‑minute adjustments.

The restaurant now benefits from well‑controlled acoustic comfort, both for guests and staff, while maintaining a coherent and clearly expressed decorative identity.

This project highlights a key reality in the restaurant industry:
addressing acoustics during renovation enhances the overall experience, without aesthetic compromise or future operational disruptions.
