Rio Cabinet back
It transforms existing functional surfaces into acoustic absorption supports, without modifying the furniture or intervening on the building structure.
Developed for open spaces and shared areas, Rio helps improve sound comfort by treating surfaces that are often left unused.
Design & Installation: enhancing existing furniture
Designed as an optimisation solution, Rio stands out through:
- simple and fast magnetic fixing on metal cabinets
- a wide dimensional range (800 to 1,200 mm width, 700 to 2,200 mm height)
- a mass‑tinted rPET finish, ensuring homogeneous and durable aesthetics
- a palette of 30 colours, allowing seamless integration or visual enhancement of interior layouts
Inspired by the vivid tones associated with Rio, the colour palette makes it possible to introduce controlled contrast or extend an existing architectural identity.
Acoustic Performance: complementary treatment for workstations
Made from compact 12 mm rPET acoustic fibre, Rio delivers an absorption coefficient of αw 0.52. Positioned on the back of cabinets, it helps:
- reduce sound reflection in open‑plan areas
- attenuate conversational noise
- improve concentration in collaborative environments
- optimise acoustics without adding bulky elements
Recommended Applications
Rio is particularly suited to:
- open spaces
- administrative areas
- coworking zones
- educational or tertiary environments

At Arteck, we place the environment at the heart of our approach by offering acoustic solutions that comply with the most demanding ecological standards. Our products and materials are carefully selected to ensure minimal environmental impact and optimum quality.
- LEED & BREEAM certification: Our products contribute to achieving LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) certification, two international benchmarks for sustainable buildings.
- IAC Gold (Indoor Air Comfort): Our acoustic solutions comply with IAC Gold certification, guaranteeing very low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and excellent indoor air quality.
- OEKO-TEX® : All our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, free from harmful substances, ensuring total safety for users and compliance with environmental standards.
- FSC & PEFC-certified wood: Our wood elements come from sustainably managed forests and are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified. These labels guarantee responsible management of forest resources.
- EPD sheets: Our entire range has EPD sheets, available on INIES, measuring the carbon impact of our products
- Recycled and recyclable materials: Our acoustic solutions are made from compact rPET fibres (derived from the recycling of plastic bottles), enabling a significant reduction in carbon footprint.
Our lead times vary depending on the type of product and the level of personalisation. On average, manufacturing and delivery take between four and six weeks after validation of the project. For urgent requests, please contact us to discuss ways of speeding things up.
