Macao Grooved rPET panel
Thanks to its vertical format and variety of groove designs, Macao integrates seamlessly into both office environments and public spaces, combining acoustic function with refined decorative expression.
Design & Patterns: a Rhythmic Wall Surface
Conceived as a decorative wall cladding, Macao stands out for:
- 22 grooved patterns offering a wide range of wall rhythms and textures
- relief work carved directly into the material, creating a continuous graphic expression
- a large vertical format that structures walls while minimizing visible joints
- a through‑coloured rPET finish, complemented by optional wood‑print surfaces
The variety of patterns allows walls to be customised while maintaining architectural coherence, whether the treatment is subtle or more expressive.
Acoustic Performance: Progressive Wall Correction
Made from compact rPET acoustic fibre, Macao panels provide acoustic absorption suited to wall treatments, with a coefficient of 0.52 alpha‑sabine in 12 mm thickness. Greater thicknesses (24 mm and 72 mm) increase performance depending on project requirements.
Macao contributes to:
- reducing resonance and background noise
- improving acoustic comfort in workspaces and circulation areas
- complementing an existing ceiling‑based acoustic treatment
- enhancing acoustics without occupying floor space
Recommended Applications
Macao is designed for projects where the wall plays a key role in both architectural identity and acoustic comfort:
- Workspaces: offices, meeting rooms, circulation areas
- Hospitality & dining: lobbies, restaurants, reception areas
- Culture & public buildings: media libraries, exhibition spaces
- Education: common areas, multipurpose rooms
Eco‑Responsibility & Arteck Commitments
Macao is part of Arteck’s environmental approach:
- Recycled and recyclable rPET fibre sourced from repurposed plastic bottles
- Durable design suitable for long‑life‑cycle projects
- Low‑emission materials (A+ VOC rating)
- A solution that supports long‑lasting and reversible wall configurations
Macao thus combines wall‑mounted acoustic treatment, sculpted graphic expression, and environmental responsibility, in an approach fully aligned with architectural specification requirements.
We apply rigorous controls throughout the manufacturing process. In addition, our products are laboratory tested to guarantee their acoustic efficiency and durability.
Our products are designed and manufactured in France, in our Miribel workshop, near Lyon. We make it a point of honour to promote local know-how and limit our carbon footprint.
We are part of the French Fab label.
Yes, our acoustic solutions are easy to maintain. We recommend dry cleaning with a hoover or soft cloth. For stains, a slightly damp cloth with neutral soap can be used.
Yes, we offer an installation service provided by qualified professionals. This service guarantees optimum installation and a perfect aesthetic finish.
At Arteck, we place the environment at the heart of our approach by offering acoustic solutions that comply with the most demanding ecological standards. Our products and materials are carefully selected to ensure minimal environmental impact and optimum quality.
- LEED & BREEAM certification: Our products contribute to achieving LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) certification, two international benchmarks for sustainable buildings.
- IAC Gold (Indoor Air Comfort): Our acoustic solutions comply with IAC Gold certification, guaranteeing very low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and excellent indoor air quality.
- OEKO-TEX® : All our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, free from harmful substances, ensuring total safety for users and compliance with environmental standards.
- FSC & PEFC-certified wood: Our wood elements come from sustainably managed forests and are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified. These labels guarantee responsible management of forest resources.
- EPD sheets: Our entire range has EPD sheets, available on INIES, measuring the carbon impact of our products
- Recycled and recyclable materials: Our acoustic solutions are made from compact rPET fibres (derived from the recycling of plastic bottles), enabling a significant reduction in carbon footprint.
The fire rating (e.g. B-s1, d0) indicates a material’s reaction to fire. This European standard is divided into several criteria:
- B: low flammability
- s1: very low smoke emission
- d0: no burning droplets
These ratings ensure that our products are suitable for spaces requiring a high level of safety.
Yes, our acoustic solutions comply with the requirements of establishments receiving the public (ERP), including crèches, schools, hospitals and other local authority facilities. We use materials that are non-toxic, safe and easy to maintain.
