Equans
Design a custom-made French solution for the acoustics of numerous meeting rooms.
Challenge
As part of the refurbishment of Equans’ offices in La Défense, architecture firm Maud Caubet had to optimise the acoustics of numerous meeting rooms spread over 11 floors, while maintaining a unified tone and a differentiated design for each space.
The challenge was to find a high-performance, aesthetic and environmentally-friendly acoustic solution which could be adapted to all configurations and installed in a very short space of time.

Solutions
To meet this requirement, Arteck Design proposed a custom solution based on the Macao acoustic panel, which fully satisfied the project criteria:
- Acoustic wall panels made from 12 mm compact rPET fibre, a 100% recycled and recyclable material, guaranteeing optimum sound absorption.
- Custom-made grooved patterns, designed by the architecture firm, allowing each meeting room to be differentiated while maintaining visual consistency.
- Custom-made French manufacturing, ensuring perfect adaptation to the specific dimensions of each space.
- Fast, efficient installation, facilitated by the cut-to-shape format of the Macao panels, which allows precise adjustment to suit requirements.
Results
Thanks to this solution, Equans’ meeting rooms now offer optimal acoustic comfort, encouraging clear and pleasant exchanges.
The understated, elegant aesthetics, with beige-tone ceilings and walls enlivened by discreet grooves, lend a unique identity to each space while respecting overall harmony.
The rapid production and ease of installation meant that the project’s tight deadlines could be met, ensuring efficient implementation which aligned perfectly with the architects’ vision.
